Frequently asked questions.
What are your qualifications?
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Missouri with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University. I’m especially interested in the neuroscience of trauma, emotions, and nervous system regulation.
My additional training and certifications include:
• EMDR trained
• Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP)
• Certified Personality Disorder Treatment Provider (C-PD)
• Narcissistic abuse treatment certification (NATC)
What are your rates?
I offer a free 15-minute consultation before our first session (this is optional, if you’re ready to get started feel free to schedule). 50 minute sessions are $200. However, It’s really important to me that therapy be collaborative and customizable, so I encourage you to ask for what you need. I regularly do 80 minute sessions and therapy intensives with clients when requested and appropriate.
Do we meet in person or online?
Either! If you decide to meet online, I just encourage you to be in a confidential place where you feel safe. The platform I use is HIPAA compliant and compatible with computers and mobile devices.
Do you accept insurance?
I am not in network with insurance companies. This allows me to provide you with a more private, flexible, and personalized therapy experience. When sessions are billed through insurance, detailed documentation about your mental health-such as diagnosis and regular progress updates-is often required. For many clients this level of disclosure is unnecessary or undesirable. Insurance companies can also limit the number of sessions they will pay for, restricting client’s access to meet their therapeutic needs. I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement if you have out of network benefits. Please contact your insurance company for specifics on your benefits.
What is the community?
We are not a traditional group practice. Here at Beloved Identity Therapeutic Community, we are a collective of providers. Each provider has the autonomy to run their own business, schedule, and set their own rates. The information above regarding rates and insurance applies directly to Cassie. Our community page has each person’s bio as well as a direct link to their contact information when you click on their picture. I hope you take the time to find the person who feels like the best fit for you and your needs. You’re worth it.
What if I’m not sure if I’ve experienced trauma or abuse?
You don’t have to figure that out before coming in. We can talk through what’s happened, how it’s affecting you, and what you need now. You don’t need a particular label or a story that feels “bad enough” to seek care.
Do I have to come every week?
Absolutely not. It’s important to me that you have agency and autonomy in choosing how often we meet and how long your sessions are. I believe you know what you need better than a rigid rule about how therapy should look.
We can talk through the options together, keeping your needs, schedule, and budget in mind. Whether that’s weekly, less often, as needed, or longer sessions and intensives, we can find what fits and adjust as your needs change. We can always collaborate, but your agency comes first.
Can I work with you if I already have a therapist?
Yes! You can schedule a focused therapy intensive with me while continuing to work with your regular therapist. We’ll talk about what you’d like to focus on and how the intensive can complement the work you’re already doing. With your permission, I can also coordinate with your therapist.
